Parmazip joins the TMU Social Ventures Zone

The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU)'s Social Ventures Zone or SVZ serves as a hub for social innovators at Canada’s most entrepreneurial university. It collaborates with students, alumni, faculty, and members of the broader community to develop social ventures that drive meaningful impact.

Within the SVZ, innovators receive guidance in developing their ventures through coaching, training, workspace, and funding opportunities— all within a growing community dedicated to creating positive change.

Parmazip is honored to be one among the few chosen startups to participate in the TMU Social Ventures Zone Fall 2024 cohort along with promising startups HerGhana, Prestar, and Everyone Archives.

As a social venture, Parmazip aims to reduce the waiting lines in the ER or doctors' offices by diverting non-urgent or minor cases to available pharmacists on a virtual setup.

Through Parmazip, patients facing minor health concerns can connect directly with pharmacists from anywhere, bypassing long commutes or packed waiting rooms. Parmazip’s telepharmacy solution also enables pharmacists to offer consultations at no extra cost to patients while creating a revenue stream for pharmacy businesses by expanding their reach and boosting sales.
